Circular on Volunteer Groups

Volunteers have a very important role to play in the forthcoming celebrations of Rev. Master’s 81st Birth Anniversary at Lucknow, India. We want to create an environment of an all pervasive love and togetherness wherein everyone feels that we are with HIM, together, and forever, and volunteers shall strive to make the stay of all abhyasis as comfortable and convenient as possible.

We are happy to inform you that work at the Celebrations venue is going on in full swing and different agencies are working day and night to erect the Meditation Hall, the Kitchen, Dining and Accommodation blocks. Volunteers from a few nearby centres are helping us with the work but it is now imperative that we speed up the work to give the celebrations site its final shape and request our brethren from all over India to come forward and contribute in the organizing of this memorable event. 

1. Role and responsibilities of volunteers 

• Volunteers should be regular abhyasis of the Mission. Dedication, devotion and willingness to serve the Master and the Mission is the primary criteria for being a volunteer.
• Volunteers should be able bodied abhyasis on the age group of 18-50 years who should be familiar with English or at-least hindi to be able to communicate with others at the site.
• We expect most volunteers to be present at the venue a minimum of 3 weeks before the celebrations.
• Some of them may have to be available even much earlier to assist in the preparations.
• We shall welcome a fair number of Prefects to volunteer themselves for duty on this most important event.
• Before the commencement of the celebrations, there will be Orientation Sessions for all volunteer task groups to specifically address attitudes and behavior.
• A section of the volunteers would be required to stay about ten days after the Celebrations for winding up operations.

• Security (of perimeter, dormitories, stores and equipment, entry and exit points)

• Travel desk

4. Action Requested

All SRCM Centre in Charges are invited to nominate abhyasis and prefects for various voluntary duties indicated above. For this purpose a volunteer form is given at the following link: Volunteer form (xls).
