Circular III - July 7, 2008
Dear Sisters and Brothers,
As the special occasion inches closer and hearts start fluttering in anticipation and expectation of the grand celebration of our beloved Master’s Birth Anniversary, please review this circular carefully, which covers various important aspects of the Celebrations . Coordinators are kindly requested to ensure this circular is communicated to all abhyasis in your centres.
Registration:
There are so far around 29,000 delegates registered and over 4,000 children, bringing the total registration head-count to over 33,000. Delegate cards for all who have pre-registered before the 15th of June have been printed and are being sent to all Nodal Centers , who in turn will coordinate the distribution to respective centers. Abhyasis who have registered after the 15th of June will receive their Delegate cards at the Registration Desk at the Celebrations Venue at Lucknow.
Children’s Centre:
This will perhaps be the largest congregation of children at any of our Celebrations to date, with around 4,200 children already registered . To provide proper facilities for them, Rev. Master has instructed that a covered area of 30,000 sq. ft. and an open area of around 8 acres be prepared especially for them.
At the Registration/Reception counter, CHILD card(s) will be available for all the children. Parents are requested to register their children, collect these cards and write their own contact details in the card. The Children’s Centre will be open from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm on all days of the Celebrations. We have organized different activities for them like games, magic shows, puppet shows, quizzes, a drawing competition and movies to keep the children involved and entertained.
We request all the parents to bring spare toys and / or children’s books which can be used at the children’s centre. Please note that children below 3 years MUST be accompanied at all times by either of the parents. Parents are also requested not to bring children who are unwell to the children’s centre.
Transportation:
We have arranged transportation facilities from the Lucknow Charbagh Railway Station, the Alambagh Bus Terminal and the Amousi Airport from the 18th of July to the 26th of July. This is a paid service and the charge between the venue and the Railway Station or Bus Stand will be Rs.30 per person each way. All Centre-in-Charges / Preceptor-in- Charges are requested to send the arrival and departure details of abhyasis from their centers (if not already sent) so that transportation arrangements can be effectively organized. Please also note that all specific transportation requests (Taxi/Bus) must come to us by the 15th of July. We will not be able to accept further requests beyond this date.
Comfort Dormitory:
Accommodation in the Comfort Dormitory will be available from the 20th of July only. All abhyasis who have booked a bed in the Comfort Dormitory will have to register themselves at the Welcome Desk cum Reception Counter at the entrance of the Dormitory upon arrival. They will be registered and guided to their pre-allotted beds. Bedding, sheets and a mosquito net will be provided at the time of registration .
Hotel Bookings:
All the confirmations along with the receipts for advance payments have already been sent to the respective abhyasis. The final bill will need to be settled by the abhyasis themselves with their respective hotels. Any queries or assistance required with respect to Hotel Bookings may kindly be directed to Br.S.S. Canteen:
The canteen is spread out over 50,000 sq. feet and shall be run by professional caterers. We have made special arrangements to provide delicacies of the region for you to savour. Weather:
July is the monsoon season in North India and there has been quite a bit of rain in Lucknow already . Abhyasis are requested to brace themselves for hot and humid weather though nights can get cooler . Abhyasis are requested to come prepared with all the accessories which the rainy season demands such as umbrellas, rain coats, rubber slippers, mosquito repellents etc.
Volunteers:
The preparations at the celebrations venue are proceeding in full swing around the clock although the rains have considerably slowed down civil work at the venue. There is a pressing need for a large number of volunteers to help us to complete the work in time and any assistance in this regard may kindly be sent to Br.
